Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a one vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon along State Road 56 just east of Haysville.

The Dubois County Sheriff Department responded to the accident around 3 o’clock yesterday that saw 17-year-old Jacie Brown of French Lick lose control of her 2003 Saturn while traveling eastbound on State Road 56. Police say as the Saturn entered Sendelweck Curve, it lost traction on the roadway due to wet conditions at the time causing the rear of the vehicle to spin to the right into the opposing lane of travel.

Brown over corrected causing the vehicle to go off the south side of the road, hitting an embankment and then flipping over onto its top before sliding back onto the roadway. Finally coming to a stop facing east.

Memorial Hospital EMS as well as first responders with the Haysville Volunteer Fire Department were called to the scene.

Brow was treated at the scene after she suffered injuries and complained of pain to her back. She was transported to Memorial Hospital by Memorial EMS services.

Police said the car was a total loss. Indiana State Police along with Uebelhor and sons wrecker assisted at the scene.
