Voter registration will end today and for Hoosiers who have not registered it will mean voting in the May Primary election is not an option.

This is the first year that Indiana residents can register via text message. State residents just need to text “Indiana” to 2VOTE or (28683) which will take them to a link to complete the registration process.

For Hoosiers who would like to skip the text and register directly they can visit the states website at www.indianavoters.com.

When using the website or text option Hoosiers will need to provide a valid Indiana driver’s license or Indiana state-issued identification card to submit a new voter registration application or to update an existing voter registration record.

To register to vote or update your current registration the old-fashioned way through mail or in person, you will need to complete and return the Voter Registration Form.

These forms can be picked up at a local BMV branch. Residents will need to fill it out and since today (04/09/18) is the deadline it will need to be hand delivered to the Dubois County Clerks office located in the on the first floor of the courthouse on the square in Downtown Jasper.

Voter registration for the May 8th primary will end today April 9th. Early voting for the for the primary election begins Tuesday.
