A local hardware store will close its doors this month after four decades of business in the community of Ferdinand.

Muller True Value Hardware in Ferdinand announced that it would be permanently closing its store along main at the end of April.

Four generations of the Muller family have led the company through it’s successful years of serving the community. Muller True Value Hardware has been the destination hardware store in the town of Ferdinand for the past 45 years.

In a statement released to local media Deanna Muller, owner and president of the store said that the family is extremely proud of what they have accomplished over the years. She continued by saying that they could not be more thankful to those who believed in the store and trusted their family throughout the years.

The closing comes after what Muller stated was unexpected difficulties within the company eluding to issues with their aging computer systems that caused unforeseen inventory issues.

She continued to elaborate that even with several investments to resolve said issues, they were not able to overcome the overwhelming deficits created.

Muller went on to commend past and present employees by saying that—the past 45 years of business could not have been accomplished without them and that they will forever have her family’s thanks and support.
