Country music continues to live at the Huntingburg Opry Hall.  The Opry is located in the Old Renovated Huntingburg Legion Building next to the new Market Street Park in Huntingburg.

Local entertainer and songwriter David Wayne Matheis, known simply as David Wayne hosts a show monthly in the Opry Hall.  Recently closed for renovations like a new stage, a museum of sorts and improved seating, the Huntingburg Opry re-opens Saturday night, December 15th with David Wayne’s Opry.  The show will feature a special family Christmas show with headliner shot gun red from Nashville.

After the December show, David Wayne’s opry will return in February with a show monthly as the Opry works to preserve old time country music.   Tickets and show information is available by calling 812-893-1570.  A ribbon cutting was held Thursday evening at the Huntingburg Opry Hall.
