A Pennsylvania semi truck driver escaped injury after he failed to negotiate a curve on a south side Jasper roadway late Wednesday morning and drove his rig into a ditch.

Jasper Police say around a quarter till 11 am yesterday a semi driven by 23-year old Dennis Borisik of Denver, Pennsylvania was headed north on South Newton Street in Jasper just north of Hochgesang Avenue when he told police he did not see a curve in the road causing his semi to exit the roadway on its eastside and wreck into a ditch.

Officers were forced to shut down South Newton Street at the scene of the crash for more than an hour while the semi rig was removed from the ditch by a wrecker service.

Borisik was not injured. No charges were filed. His semi was a total loss.
