A Huntingburg woman was placed under arrest for shoplifting after police allege she attempted to walk out of the Jasper Wal-Mart Store Saturday afternoon with items that were not paid for

Around 2 pm Saturday Jasper Police were called to the north side super center where they say 38-year old Brandi Brewer of Huntingburg made purchases however police say Brewer did not scan or pay for all the items in her cart.

Brewer was stopped when exiting the building without incident.

Police say the clothing and make-up that she did not make any attempt to pay for were valued at $198.55.

She was taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on a misdemeanor count of Theft.
