Farmers are having a tough time this time of year due to the rainfall amounts that the areas have been getting.

Due to the rainfall, farmers are behind when it comes to the planting schedule. Here in Southern Indiana, rainfall has been much heavier than in the north. Dubois County Purdue Extension Educator Ken Eck explains the progress that Dubois County is making despite the far too wet conditions.

Eck says that the rain not only prevents the crops from growing in ample soil, it’s also difficult to get out in proper machinery.
