A Washington County man was brought to the Dubois County Security Center after failing to appear in court on Wednesday.

29-year-old Daniel M. Wheeler of Salem was accused of damaging walls, a door, lattice work, and a cabinet in a Huntingburg apartment in September of 2017. This case was investigated by the Huntingburg Police Department.

Wheeler was summoned into the Dubois County Superior Court to answer on a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. A warrant was issued for his arrest in December of 2017 after he failed to appear.

Wheeler was booked into the Dubois County Security Center Wednesday night on the active warrant.
