A Birdseye man was arrested after a domestic battery incident over the weekend.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Erik L. Davis on Saturday after investigating a reported domestic battery that occurred the night before.

When investigating, the deputy’s noticed the female who reported the incident had visible injuries.

According to the sheriff’s office, a child was present at the time.

Davis was arrested without incident and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on preliminary Level 6 counts of domestic battery and strangulation.
