A Spencer County woman was booked into the Dubois County Security Center on a warrant related to a misdemeanor theft case.

25-year-old Griffin M. Williams of Gentryville was first charged in March with stealing merchandise from Holiday Foods in Ferdinand. When investigating, Indiana State Police found these items to be worth $149.62.

Dubois Superior Court issued a failure to appear warrant at the end of April after Williams failed to appear for her court hearings.

Authorities booked Williams into the Dubois County Security Center Wednesday evening on the active warrant.

During the initial hearing Thursday, the court entered a preliminary plea of not guilty on William’s behalf. Her next court date is Tuesday, August 20th.
