Two people are in custody in connection to the multiple burglaries and ATV thefts in Dubois County.

Sheriff Deputies from both Dubois and Orange Counties and Indiana Conservation Officers went to Tucker Lake in Orange County on Friday, trying to locate 36-year-old Curtis Rodgers of French Lick for questioning.

Both Rodgers and a female, identified as 23-year-old Alejandra Mora of Jasper were taken into custody on Friday.

Rodgers tried to escape while in handcuffs, was tased, and taken back into custody.

Deputies recovered several stolen items at the scene, including a side by side ATV and illegal substances.

Rodgers and Mora were both transported and booked into the Dubois County Security Center.

Right now, Rodgers is facing a preliminary theft charge, and Mora is facing charges of false informing and contempt of court.

This is still an ongoing investigation, and more charges are expected to be filed.
