There’s a new Spencer County Animal Shelter now open.

It Takes A Village had the grand opening of their new animal shelter in Chrisney Sunday.

Office Manager Jessa McCauley says that a new animal shelter in Spencer County was definitely needed.

The shelter is a no-kill shelter, which will be able to house different animals that see fit, however, due to space, they are always looking for families to help foster.

McCauley says she is very excited to a part of It Takes A Village

It Takes A Village is open from Noon to 5 pm Tuesdays through Saturday, with Wednesday hours being extended to 7 pm.
