A local hospital is getting recognized at a national level.

The National Rural Health Association recently recognized Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center as a Top 20 Rural Community Hospital.

Only one other hospital in the state received this recognition.

This ranking includes prospective payment system hospitals nation-wide and was based on an evaluation conducted by The Chartis Center for Rural Health using iVantage Health Analytics Hospital Strength Index.

Results were based on eight factors: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspective, cost, charge, and financial efficiency.
