68-year-old Ron Meyer, of Huntingburg, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Ron was born February 28, 1953 in Huntingburg to Adolph and Ruth (Hoing) Meyer.
He married Karen Brosmer on November 2, 1974 in St. Ferdinand Church. Ron was a Millwright. Ron was a Navy Seabee, having served in both Vietnam and Iraq. He enjoyed collecting guns, working on cars and riding ATV’s. Ron was a member of Ferdinand American Legion Post 124, Huntingburg V.F.W., Forty and Eight and St. Anthony Conservation Club.
Ron is survived by his wife, Karen; one son, Shane (Daphne) Meyer of Huntingburg; three daughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Stallman of Ferdinand, Lacy Meyer of CA and Kara Meyer of Terra Haute; two brothers, Gary (Kathy) Meyer and Mike “Lurch” Meyer all of Huntingburg; three sisters, Becky Fuller of Ferdinand, Kathy (Mark) Schaeffer of St. Anthony and Kris Fischer of Cannelton; two grandchildren,Shelby Stallman and Avery Meyer; two uncles, Harold and Jim Hoing both of Huntingburg. Ron was preceded in death by both parents and 4 siblings in infancy, Thomas, Mary Ann, Joseph and Susan and one aunt, Eleanor Hassfurther.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 25th at 11:00 AM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand with burial to follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.
