Charles R. Kolb, age 74, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at home. 

Charles was born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 15, 1949, to Marion and Doris (Heldt) Kolb.  He married Karen Brown on December 24, 1990, in Boonville, Indiana.  

He was a graduate of Harrison High School.  He then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Purdue University and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville. 

He was a nurse at Welborn Hospital in Evansville for several years.  He was also a farmer and was very passionate about agriculture. 

He was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper, Indiana, and was past president of the Jasper Gun and Rifle Club. 

Charles was an avid target shooter, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Surviving is his wife Karen Kolb, Jasper, IN, three sons, Charles F. Collins, and significant other, Maggie Kitsch, Naples, FL, Wesley Kolb, Jasper, IN, and Christian Kolb, Jasper, IN, and one brother, Marvin (Pam) Kolb, Evansville, IN. 

Preceding him in death are his parents. 

A funeral service for Charles R. Kolb will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Enlow Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana.  Rev. Darrel Land will officiate. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service time on Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Toys for Tots or the Jasper Rifle and Gun Club.
