Dennis E. “Wiener” Wendholt, age 64, of Haysville, Indiana, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana. 

Dennis was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on May 5, 1959, to Walter and Arlinda (Fetter) Wendholt. 

He formerly worked as a truck driver for Classic Bulk. 

He was a member of the Jasper Outdoor REC, where he was on the board, and he was a member of the American Legion Post #147. 

He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially riding his Harley, his side-by-side, and his tractor, and mowing the lawn. 

Surviving is his better half, Marilyn Gibson, Haysville, IN, two children, Ashley (Terry) Speedy, Otwell, IN, Jacob (Chelsea) Wendholt, Otwell, IN, five grandchildren, Layla, Haydin, and Hudsyn, and Creed and Aubree, two sisters, Connie (Glen) Kissling, Huntingburg, IN, and Mary Burger, Jasper, IN, and fur babies, Ace and Buster. 

Preceding him in death are his parents. 

A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.  There will be no service or burial at this time. 

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family to assist in funeral expenses.
