Charlotte S. Hacker, 78, of Marengo, Indiana passed away on Friday October 13, 2023, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born on December 17, 1944, in Crawford County, Indiana to Charles E. and Lois (Wilson) Smith.

Charlotte was a member of the Marengo Independent Methodist Church in Marengo, Indiana. She farmed most of her life, winning awards from the Water and Soil Conservation Society. Charlotte loved horses and was a member of the Southern Indiana Saddle Club. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lois Smith, her siblings, JoAnn Corbett, and Edward Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Hacker, their son, Billy (Martha) Hacker, 5 Grandchildren, her brother, Jimmy Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday October 16, 2023, at 1:30 P.M at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana with Pastor Tim Jellison to officiate. Burial will follow in Taswell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 15, 2023, at Denbo Funeral Home in English, Indiana from 1:00 P.M until 5:00 P.M and again on Monday October 16, 2023, from 11:30 AM until the time of service at 1:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society to help for the care of animals.
