Pamela Lee Thompson, age 72, of Huntingburg, passed away at 1:05 a.m., on Thursday, October 12th, 2023, at Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper.

She was born August 13, 1951, in Huntingburg to Calvin and Ida (Huff) Thompson.  Pam was best known for her quilt-making.  She and her niece, Brook, have made hundreds of quilts in the shop at her home.  Pam would piece together the tops brought in by customers if needed, Brook would then do the quilting and Pam would finish and apply the binding.  She loved cooking in her backyard, campfire style, every Friday evening with her neighbors, cousins and friends and called it Campfire Cafe.  Her cat, Rocky, was her faithful companion.   Pam was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shawn Leinenbach in 1990; a brother, Rex Thompson in 2012.

She is survived by two sisters, Gwen (Randy) Kilian, Sandra Mason, both of Huntingburg; one brother, Wayne (Ina) Thompson of Chandler; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 p.m., E.D.T., on Monday, October 16, 2023.  A private burial will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
