Eileen C. Artmeier, age 74, of St. Anthony, Indiana, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at home surrounded by family. 

Eileen was born in St. Meinrad, Indiana, on November 2, 1948, to Albert and Frieda (Gessner) Fetter.  She married Robert H. Artmeier on April 20, 1968, in St. Meinrad Catholic Church in St. Meinrad, Indiana. 

She worked as a waitress for various restaurants.   

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN. 

Eileen enjoyed going to the casino, especially traveling to Las Vegas with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Surviving is her husband, Robert Artmeier, St. Anthony, IN, one daughter, Diane Beckman, St. Anthony, IN, one son, Steve Artmeier, Avon, IN, and five grandchildren.  

Preceding her in death are four sisters, Arlinda Wendholt, Leatta Wendholt, Jean Buechler, and Ida Sander, three brothers, Daniel, Delbert, and Sylvan Fetter, and three siblings who died in infancy. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Eileen C. Artmeier will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. 

A visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Heart to Heart Hospice, or to the Cure VCP Foundation
