Matthew Dillon “Matt” Marshall, 30, of Evansville passed away, on Friday, October 20, 2023.
He was born in Indianapolis to Terry A. Marshall and Gina L. (Gebhart) Swindle. In his younger years, Matt enjoyed playing football and wrestling with his cousins. Matt was a free spirit and loved life and living it to its fullest. He didn’t know a stranger was known to be hilarious and was dearly loved by his family. Although Matt’s mother called him “Pickle”, she was the only one who got away with it. He adored his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Anna Marshall; uncle, Ronald P. Gebhart; and a cousin, Lindsey Gripenstroh.
He is survived by his father, Terry A. Marshall of Evansville; his mother and stepfather, Gina L. (Randy) Swindle of Indianapolis; siblings, Zachary (Nichole) Marshall of Evansville, Emily Thacker of Greenwood, IN, Nick (Jaimie) Thacker of Danville, IN, Stephanie (Josh) Tidd of Danville, IN Tanner Swindle of Sheridan, IN, Erica Swindle of Richmond Hills, Georgia; maternal grandparents, Kathleen (Charles) Yaryan of Greenfield, Ron (Nancy) Gebhart of Deputy, IN; nieces and nephews, Boe “Stink Stink” and Brooklyn Marshall, Ryan and Parker Williams, Landon, Jayce, Amelia Tidd; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Matt Marshall will be held at 1:00 p.m., EDT on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial in Selvin Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. E.D.T. on Friday prior to the service.
