According to the Jasper Police Department around 1 PM on Thursday they were dispatched to 3605 Newton Street in regards to a reckless driver in the Germantown Parking Lot where they found a 1999 Chevy Tahoe driven by 42-year-old Derek Foster of Jasper.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Foster was under the influence of alcohol while driving. Derek Foster was taken to Memorial Hospital for a chemical blood draw where his BAC was determined to be 0.34, more than 4x the Indiana legal limit of .08.

Foster was transported to and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center and charged with the following:

  • OWI
  • OWI over .15
  • OWI Endangerment
