Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center announced the addition of Christian Blome to its Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and Investment Subcommittee.

Blome has served as Assistant Vice President and Dean of Vincennes University Jasper Campus since July 2017. His 21-year career has spanned all divisions of higher education including Student Services, Academic Affairs, Admissions, Community Engagement, and Campus Administration.

Under Blome’s leadership, the VU Jasper Campus launched a highly successful partnership with the Patoka Valley CTE Cooperative—a model recognized by Governor Holcomb’s Office with the coveted SEAL designation and referenced by the Indiana Secretary of Education as a model for communities around the state of Indiana. Dean Blome’s tenure also includes the creation of the Dubois County Scholastic Excellence Award, the growth of the Jasper Campus nursing program, the launching of many work-learn internship pathways, the creation of the Academic Center of Excellence, and overall Jasper Campus enrollment growth.

Blome received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Indiana in Teacher Education, and a Master’s Degree from the University of Evansville in Public Service Administration. He’s passionate about our community and serves on several local and regional boards. Blome, his wife Emily, and children, Carter and Lainee, reside in Jasper.
