Jasper Community Arts’ 21st annual Chalk Walk Arts Festival will once again be held at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center (located at 100 3rd Ave. Jasper, IN 47546)on Saturday, May 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Chalk Walk 2024 will see the return of crowd favorites:
- Chalk Walk t-shirt tie-dyeing will be located on the lawn of the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center where families my tie-dye their own Chalk Walk tshirt and create their very own work of t-shirt work of art!
- Balloons by Aaron will be back in the Atrium creating amazing works of art before your very eyes, FREE of charge (courtesy of Jasper Community Arts) for those who wish to take home a fun design created especially for you!
- Rolando DeCastro will return indoors at the Black Box Theatre to draw caricatures of attendees, FREE of charge (courtesy of Jasper Community Arts)!
- An exciting bounce house, just for the little ones, will be awaiting screams of excitement and fun on the lawn!
- Make-and-Take art projects for children will also be available in the Workshops of the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center!
- And of course, CHALKING will be taking place on all the concrete surrounding the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center where kids and adults, alike, will contribute their works of art in chalk form on the sidewalks!
- Participants please register and pay the $12 registration fee online by visiting www.jasperarts.org/chalkwalk. Each registrant will receive a free Chalk Walk cinch sack containing a box of chalk, t-shirt (for those pre-registered) and various donated items from local businesses.
The annual Chalk Walk is supported by many local businesses and individuals, includingPapa John’s Pizza of Jasperand the Greater Jasper Downtown Business Association.
