 On Monday, June 24th, Indiana State Police Detectives from the Bloomington Post arrested a Bedford man on charges related to child molestation.

Detectives had identified the suspect as Todd W. Dasenbrock, Age 46, of Bedford, and served an arrest warrant at his residence. He was located and arrested at the residence without incident. Dasenbrock was transported to the Lawrence County Jail where his custody was transferred.

On December 15, 2023, Detectives from the Indiana State Police were notified by the Department of Child Services regarding an allegation of child molestation involving a female child victim, who at the time was 12 years old. Detectives initiated an investigation, and during that investigation identified Dasenbrock as the suspect. Detectives also learned that Dasenbrock allegedly sexually molested the female child victim during a 2-3 year time period.

Detectives forwarded all case information to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and an arrest warrant was issued. Dasenbrock is charged with the following:

  • Child Molest, a Level 1 Felony
  • Child Molest, a Level 1 Felony
  • Child Molest, a Level 1 Felony
  • Child Molest, a Level 1 Felony
  • Child Molest, a Level 4 Felony
