The Tell City Police Department is excited to announce that it has been awarded a significant equipment grant from the Indiana Office of Court Technology, in partnership with the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. This grant will fund advanced tools for the department’s electronic citation and warning system, a crucial upgrade that promises to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of officers in the field.

The new equipment will streamline the process of issuing citations and warnings, reducing the time officers spend on administrative tasks and enabling them to focus more on community safety. This aligns with the department’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology for better public service.

The Tell City Police Department extends its heartfelt thanks to the Indiana Office of Court Technology and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute for their continued support. This grant represents a collaborative effort to enhance public safety and ensure that officers have the best tools available to serve our community effectively.

This grant allowed for three new laptop computers, two new barcode scanners, and two new thermal printers.
