The Daviess County Sheriffs Office has announced an open hiring call for a full-time Deputy Sheriff. Interested candidates are required to report to North Daviess High School on August 17, 2024, at 9:00 am. The hiring process will include a physical fitness assessment and a written test.

Application Requirements:

  • Candidates must bring a resume with at least three references and a photo ID.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • A GED or high school diploma is required.
  • Candidates must be US citizens and possess a valid driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The starting salary is $52,594, with additional longevity pay.
  • Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, vacation, sick and personal days, and potentially vision, dental, and additional life insurance.
