Miles L Reynolds, age 89, of Brevard, North Carolina, formerly of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away July 24, 2024, at Elizabeth House Hospice in Hendersonville, NC, after a short illness.

He was born on September 20, 1934, in Gibson County, to Alta Aden and Edna Mary (Vogel) Reynolds. After reuniting later in life, Miles married his high school sweetheart, Betty Langebrake, at the Chapel of Love in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He graduated from Haubstadt High School; and served in the United States Army in 1956. After the military, he worked at a Dairy Farm in Rockford, Illinois. He retired from Inland Steel in Northern Indiana were he was a crane operator. Miles was a quiet, easygoing man; and enjoyed reading Louis L’Amour western books. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Reynolds; stepdaughter, Cheryl Langebrake.

After Betty’s passing, Miles relocated to Brevard, North Carolina, to be closer to his brother and sister-in-law, John and Kay Reynolds.

Also surviving are stepsister, Norma Sue (Billy) Butler of Wadesville, Indiana; stepbrother, Larry (Patricia) Espenlaub of Poseyville, Indiana; stepdaughter, Rhonda (Greg) Lindauer of St. Henry, Indiana; stepson, Randy (Lynette) Langebrake of Huntingburg, Indiana; and by eight step grandchildren and twelve great-step grandchildren.

A graveside service for Miles Reynolds will be held at Zoar Cemetery at a later date. Fuller Funeral Home in Dale has been entrusted with handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zoar School House Fund or to Zoar United Methodist Church.
