The Astra Theatre will be welcoming Michael Griffin for a very unique performance on Saturday, October 5. Griffin is a world-renowned escape artist who will no doubt display feats never before seen on the Jim & Pat Thyen Performance Stage.

Tickets are on sale now at www.AstraTheater.com.  Reserved seating tickets are $25 for the balcony, $30 for the main floor, and $35 for the front rows of the main floor.

Doors open at 6:00 PM with entertainment beginning at 7:00 PM and Griffin taking to the stage at 8:00 PM.

Griffin, combining intensely original magic and impossible escapes, possesses the uncanny ability to free himself from any extreme escape challenge known to man. From water-sealed oil drums, and coffins, to mental hospital cells and official police restraints from around the world. The World Magic Awards have twice named him as “The World’s greatest living escape performer”. In 2002 Michael was the only escape artist granted permission to reenact Houdini’s 1912 death-defying escape, being bound handcuffed, and sealed inside Houdini’s 90-year-old original packing crate and lowered into Florida’s intercoastal waters. He escaped in 45 seconds.

In addition to sharing the evening with Michael Griffin, the Next Act, Inc. invites you to join them at The Astra for future 2024 events. These events include comedian Kevin Farley on Saturday, August 17, co-headlining concert by Jonathan & Abigail Peyton and Philip Bowen on Saturday, September 7, rock band Trixter on Saturday, October 26, and more.  All events have tickets available on our website at AstraTheater.com with more to come.

The historic Astra Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Indiana. Newly renovated with 357 seats, the Astra has main level and balcony seating with a concessions stand offering snacks, local craft and domestic beer, and wine that are available for purchase.
