Calling all young artists! Kids aged 12 and under are invited to unleash their creativity by designing and naming an original character for the upcoming St. Meinrad Rocks Fest. Submit your masterpiece by September 18 for a chance to win fantastic prizes, including a custom T-shirt!
All entries will be showcased during the St. Meinrad Rocks Fest on September 27 & 28 at St. Meinrad Park (19586 N 2nd Street). The public will have the chance to vote for their favorite characters, and there’s no fee to cast your vote.
Prizes will be awarded in three age categories: 0-5 years, 6-8 years, and 9-12 years. Each participant’s entry will also be entered into a drawing within their age group for a Fest Food Truck Voucher.
Entries must be received by September 18 and can be sent to 19637 N 5th Street, St. Meinrad, IN 47577, or emailed to writstuf@psci.net. The winners, determined by crowd votes throughout the festival weekend, will receive a custom T-shirt celebrating their artistic achievement!
The festival promises fun for the whole family, with live music from twelve acts, the Silly Safaris live animal show on Saturday at 2 p.m. Central, Dr. Popper Balloon Artist, and Julie, the Facepaint Chick! Food trucks will be on-site both days, and a Vendor Fair will take place on Saturday from 1-6 p.m. Central.
