The Dubois Branch Library has announced the list of events they will be holding in September 2024.

The library would like to note they will be closed on Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day.

  • September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. Anyone who stops by the library throughout the month to get a new library card or use their card will be entered in a drawing to win a gift card of their choice.
  • Throughout September, Betty the Bat will be hiding out in the children’s section. Come in to find her and get a prize from their treasure chest.
  • Tuesdays in September from 3:15 to 4:30 pm – Activity Corner for ages 8 to 18 – Enjoy snacks, play games, and create crafts with your friends after school. No registration is required.
  • Wednesdays in September at 9 am – Chair Yoga – Yoga following a DVD for older adults and those with mobility issues. Registration is required and can be made by calling the library. There will be no Geri-Fit in September.
  • Saturday, September 7 at 11 am – Color Burst Bears for ages 3 and up – Children under 8 must be accompanied by an
    adult. Stuff and dye your own bear. Registration is required.
  • Wednesday, September 11 from 1 to 3 pm – Homeschool Hangout for all ages – Children under 8 must be accompanied
    by an adult. Meet other homeschool families and create your own mixed-media tree using puzzle pieces. No
    registration is required.
  • Thursday, September 12 at 11 am – Ice Cream Storytime for ages 2 to 6 with an adult – Bring your toddler to read stories about ice cream, make an ice cream-themed craft, and play with toys. No registration is required.
  • Monday, September 16 at 6 pm – Wooden Wine Bottle Painting for adults – Paint a wooden wine bottle in your own unique design. Registration is required.
  • Wednesday, September 18 at 6 pm – Family Bingo for ages 5 and up – Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family for Bingo and win fun prizes. No registration is required.
  • Thursday, September 19 from 3 to 4:30 pm – Lego Club for ages 8 to 18 – Visit the Library after school for snacks, Legos, and fun. No registration is required.
  • Monday, September 23 at 6 pm – Ceramic Dinosaur Painting for ages 3 and up – Children under 8 must be accompanied
    by an adult. Paint a ceramic dinosaur in your own style. Registration is required.
  • Wednesday, September 25 at 6 pm – Postcard Day for all ages – Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Shae Wagner will be at the library to explain how you can send postcards for free all around the world. No registration is required.
  • Thursday, September 26 at 11 am – Number Storytime for ages 2 to 6 with an adult – Bring your toddler to read stories about numbers, make a number-themed craft, and play with toys. No registration is required.
  • Monday, September 30 at 6:30 pm – End of the Month Book Club – This month the club is reading Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons by Lorna Landvik. Stop by the library to pick up a book.
