Jasper is gearing up for the Pirates of the Patoka FunFest on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event promises a day filled with pirate-themed activities for all ages, making it a must-attend for the whole family.

Highlights include the Heartland Half Marathon and Kids Fun Run on Friday, September 20th, the Wood Capital Open disc golf tournament, and a whimsical Storybook Walk at the Dubois County Museum and Jasper Public Library. Young pirates can enjoy crafting activities at the Thyen-Clark Cultural Center, while treasure hunters can participate in a geocaching scavenger hunt across seven Jasper parks.

Other events include a Beard Contest at the Dubois County Museum, a Puzzles & Padlocks escape room experience, and a Pizza & Beer Train Ride aboard the Spirit of Jasper. The festival also features the Pirate Pub Crawl and the Pirate Shop & Sip leading up to the main event.
