The Schedule and Details for the 2024 Schnellville Picnic, taking place Saturday, September 14th, through Sunday, September 15th, have been announced.
This family-friendly event will offer activities and fun for all ages, with proceeds benefiting the Schnellville Community Club, Park, and Fire Department.
The schedule for the picnic is as follows:
Saturday, September 14th:
- 8 AM – Noon: Car Show Registration Open
- 8 AM – 3 PM: Food Stand Open
- 8 AM: Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tourney
- 9 AM: Co-ed Pickleball Tourney
- 3 PM: Car Show Awards Presentation
Sunday, September 15th:
- 8 AM: Food Stand Opens
- 10 AM: Country Store
- 11 AM: Fried and BBQ Chicken Dinners by the Schnellville Fire Department
- Quilt Raffle and Grand Raffle
- Ice Cream Stand
- Kids Games
- 12:30 PM: Clogging Performance
- 1 PM: Kiddie Tractor Pull Registration
- 2 PM: Kiddie Tractor Pull
- 3 PM: Grand Raffle Drawing
The Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tourney will be held on Saturday at 8 AM at the Schnellville Community Club. The tournament will have a round-robin played to seed every team, and after seeding single elimination will be played.
The cost to enter is $60 and every team must have two females. Registration is required by September 11th and can be made by contacting Austin Welp at 812-827-9177.
The Co-ed Pickleball Tourney will be played on Saturday at 9 AM at the Schnellville Community Club. Food will be available at the event, including haystacks, turkey tenders, and more. It will have partial round-robin play and then a single-elimination tournament. The first team to 11 points and wins by two points wins their game. There will be prizes for the winners.
Teams will consist of one male and one female player. Players should bring their own paddles but balls will be provided. The cost to enter is $20 and registration is required by September 12th. Those interested in taking part can register by contacting Myron Betz at 812-389-2245.
