Around 7:30 PM on Sunday the Jasper Police Department received a report of a reckless driver traveling at unsafe speeds, failing to maintain the path of travel, making unsafe passes, and endangering drivers from oncoming traffic.

Jasper Police Officers were able to locate and observe the vehicle in question failing to maintain lanes. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, however the vehicle repeatedly failed to pull over. The vehicle eventually pulled over and officers detained the driver, identified as 49-year-old Adix Guerrero.

Guerrero displayed signs of impairment, and an OWI investigation was conducted. It was later determined that Guerrero had a BAC of .112. Guerrero was lodged at the Dubois County Security Center for the following charges:

  • Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle (Level 6 Felony)
  • Neglect of a Dependent (Level 6 Felony)
  • OWI With Passenger Less Than 18 Years Of Age (Level 6 Felony)
  • OWI (Level 6 Felony)
  • OWI Endangerment (Level 6 Felony)
