Thomas E. “Nuts” Luebbehusen, 78, of Ferdinand passed away January 1, 2025 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand. Thomas was born on December 31, 1946 in Ferdinand to Paul and Cecelia (Krampe) Luebbehusen. He was united in marriage to Linda Englert on August 31, 1968 in St. Anthony Of Padua Church.

Thomas was a lifelong member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church. He was a heavy equipment operator and was owner of TL Dirt Works. He was a member of Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 and served in the Indiana Army National Guard. He was a graduate of the “College of Knowledge”.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Linda Luebbehusen. Two daughters, Connie Kerstiens (Rich Martin) and Kristy (Ryan) Berg both of Ferdinand. Four grandsons, Tyler and Derek Kerstiens and Jacob and Nathan Berg, one great-grand-daughter, Eleanor Berg. Two sisters, Mary Agnes Smith-Johnson and Martha Ann (Kenneth) Englert both of Ferdinand. A sister-in-law, Mary M. Luebbehusen of Ferdinand. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Norbert and John Luebbehusen.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 4, 2025 in St. Ferdinand Church. Burial with military services by Ferdinand Legion Post 124 will be held at a later date.
