Scot Allan Blessinger, age 68, of Huntingburg, passed away at 3:03 a.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice of Evansville.

He was born September 23, 1956, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to James Allan and Donna (Chase) Blessinger; and married Jean Carol Wiggins on August 19, 1978, at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church.  Scot was an independent insurance agent and agency owner of Patoka Insurance Center and Blessinger Insurance, LLC.  He was a 50+ year member of the Y.M.I. Club; an avid crappie fisherman and outdoorsman; enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events; and spending time with his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Blessinger; and sister, Judi Blessinger.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Carol Blessinger of Huntingburg; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Chad (Jyl) Blessinger and Brady (Tonya) Blessinger both of Huntingburg; his mother, Donna Chase Blessinger of Huntingburg; one sister, Karen (Wayne) Hoover of Lexington, Kentucky; and five grandchildren, Emma, Owen, Addy, Vince and Carly.

Funeral services for Scot Blessinger will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.  Pastor David Chinn will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, March 7th; and also at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
