The Dubois County Coroner has confirmed that two people have died in relation to the reported dog attack in Huntingburg late Monday afternoon, early Monday evening.

One death was reported to be directly caused by the dog attack while the second cause of death has yet to be determined.

Autopsies are scheduled for later this week.

An official statement from law enforcement is expected in the coming hours.

Emergency personnel, law enforcement, and other responding agencies responded to the area of Gieger Street between 1st and 2nd Street in Huntingburg early Monday evening to reports of a serious dog attack.
