The Martin County Recycling Center will host its annual Spring Clean-Up event on Friday, May 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Recycling Center, located at 500 Industrial Park Drive in Loogootee.

Residents can take advantage of special pricing for trash drop-off during the clean-up days. Small truckloads, such as Ford Rangers or Chevy S-10s, will cost $20. Regular-size truckloads will be $30, trailer loads are $40, and a regular truck with a trailer will cost $70. Construction debris will continue to be charged at $70 per ton.

Electronic waste—including televisions, computers, paint, tires, batteries, and appliances with Freon—will incur additional charges not included in the standard pricing.

Each vehicle dropping off materials will receive one coupon valid for a free bag of trash drop-off. The coupon must be used by May 24, 2025.

The Spring Clean-Up provides Martin County residents with an opportunity to properly dispose of a variety of waste items in preparation for the summer season.
