Forest landowners struggling with invasive plant species can gain valuable knowledge and hands-on training at a special one-day event hosted at the Southern Indiana Purdue Agricultural Center in Dubois. The workshop will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The $30 training session is designed to help property owners identify and manage aggressive invasive vegetation that can overrun forest land. Participants will receive guidance from experts in forestry, conservation, and invasive species control.

The event is organized by Purdue Extension Forestry & Natural Resources, in partnership with the Orange County Invasives Partnership, the Invasive Species Awareness Coalition of Dubois County, the Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Dubois and Orange Counties, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry.
