Cynthia “Cyndy” R. Geier, age 73, of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Schnellville, Indiana, passed away at 5:12 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Serenity Springs at Northwood in Jasper, Indiana.

Cyndy was born in Schnellville, Indiana, on September 10, 1951, to Hilbert and Helen (Verkamp) Theising.  She married Mark Geier on July 24, 1981.

She was a 1969 graduate of Birdseye High School.  She then earned a degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville.

She retired from Methodist Occupational Health Center, where she had worked for over 40 years.

She enjoyed softball, camping, fishing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is one son, Marc (Ashley) Geier, Portsmouth, VA, one granddaughter, Annabeth Geier, one stepdaughter, Erica (Derrick) Johnson, Indianapolis, IN, two step grandchildren, Ryleigh and Shepard Johnson, one sister, Julie (Tim) Hoffman, Haysville, IN, one brother, Bernie (Angie) Theising, Schnellville, IN, and nieces and nephews. 

Preceding her in death are her husband and her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Cynthia “Cyndy” R. Geier will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Schnellville, Indiana.  There will be no burial at this time.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass time at the church on Tuesday.
