Doris J. Schroering, age 81, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Serenity Springs Senior Living at Northwood in Jasper, Indiana.

Doris was born in Jasper, Indiana, on June 13, 1944, to Herbert and Loretta (Seger) Schroering. 

She was a 1962 graduate from Dubois High School.

Doris worked housekeeping at Deaconess Memorial Healthcare Center.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, CHIRP, and the St. Ann’s Society,

She enjoyed playing cards, embroidery, and always lent a helping hand.

She is survived by two brothers: Maurice (Judy) Schroering, Donnie (Cathy) Schroering, both of Jasper; one sister, Sister Marilyn Schroering, Ferdinand; two sisters-in-law, Connie and Donna Schroering, Jasper, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two sisters: Edna Schroering and Lou Alice Schroering who died in infancy, and two brothers: Delmar and Ralph Schroering.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris J. Schroering will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2025, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:45 a.m. prior to the visitation.
