Martin County Solid Waste will hold its annual Fall Clean-Up on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, offering discounted disposal rates at its Loogootee location. The Shoals site will remain open for regular services, but special clean-up pricing applies only at Loogootee on these two days.

Fees for the event are set at $20 for small trucks (such as S-10 or Ranger), $30 for full-size trucks, $40 for trailers of any size, and $70 for a truck with a trailer when both are loaded. These rates do not include hazardous waste items. Electronics, paint, light bulbs, fluorescent lights, tires, refrigerators, and freezers are all considered hazardous and will not be accepted at the clean-up prices.

In addition, a can drive will be held both days, with aluminum cans purchased for $0.25 per pound. Participants are asked to bring cans in bags or containers so they can be weighed on site.
