On Friday night September 26th, Trooper Beau Brumett was working in the Martin County area near Loogootee. Trooper Brumett responded to a single vehicle crash on US 231 near Loogootee. The driver of the vehicle, Steven Ford, was transported to Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper by ambulance. Trooper Kayla Denk-Mundy and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office spoke to Ford at the hospital. During the interaction, Ford showed visible signs of impairment. After medical clearance and a chemical test, Ford was arrested and transported to the Martin County Jail where he is being held on bond.

OVWI – Class A Misdemeanor

Possession of Paraphernalia – Class A Misdemeanor

Arresting Officer – Trooper Beau Brumett

Assisting Officers– Trooper Kayla Denk-Mundy, Martin County Sheriff’s Office & Dubois County Sheriff’s Office
