Daviess Community Hospital is proud to announce that Chelsea Stoll, RN, has earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner and has successfully passed her board examinations.
Stoll has been a dedicated part of the DCH family since 2009, when she began her nursing career in the Float Pool, training to work across inpatient units. In 2010, she joined the DCH Obstetrics Department full time, where she has spent the majority of her career. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and later expanded her role by joining the DCH Education Department for three years. In that position, she helped onboard new nurses and taught American Heart Association classes—all while continuing to work in obstetrics.
In 2022, with encouragement and support from the late Dr. Suresh Lohano, Stoll began her journey toward becoming a nurse practitioner. Known affectionately by Dr. Lohano as “The Professor” for her teaching skills in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) classes at DCH, Stoll continued to balance her education with work and family life. She and her husband are raising two sons in Odon who are active in baseball and 4-H, while she also served as lead NRP instructor at DCH, providing certifications to staff across obstetrics, respiratory therapy, emergency, and other departments.
“Congratulations to Chelsea Stoll on this incredible achievement,” said Shawna O’Kelley Brinson, BSN, RN, director of obstetrics and nursery at DCH. “Chelsea has shown tremendous dedication throughout her career at DCH. She has grown from a Float Pool nurse into an exceptional leader and educator. We are excited to see her continue to impact patient care in her new role.”
Stoll expressed gratitude for the encouragement she has received along the way. “I am incredibly thankful for the support of my mentors, coworkers, and family throughout this journey,” she said. “It has been a privilege to care for patients and their families over the years, and I am excited to continue serving our community as a family nurse practitioner at DCH.”
Stoll plans to continue her career at Daviess Community Hospital in the role of NP for Nursery and Pediatric Inpatient Care.
