Dubois County Clerk Amy Kippenbrock formally entered the race for Indiana House District 63 on Wednesday, setting her sights on the seat being vacated at the end of this term by Rep. Shane Lindauer.
District 63 covers all of Martin County and portions of Dubois, Daviess, and Pike Counties.
Her campaign rollout centered around a video message that outlined her background, her motivations for running, and the direction she hopes to take the district. In the announcement, she emphasized that her foundation is rooted in faith, family, and service, noting that those values have guided every major decision in both her personal life and public service. She also emphasized that she believes families and local small business owners deserve someone at the Statehouse who understands their challenges on a practical level and is willing to advocate for their interests.
Kippenbrock was born in Martin County and raised in Jasper. She and her husband Kevin, whose family operates a multi-generation small business, raised their three sons in Dubois County and now enjoy time with their two granddaughters.
She was first elected Dubois County Clerk in 2018 and won re-election in 2022. In that role, she oversaw the county’s transition to vote centers, modernized county recordkeeping, and prioritized improved election security. Her efforts earned statewide recognition as she was named Indiana “Clerk of the Year” in both 2020 and again in 2024.
In 2025 she also took on the role of Dubois County Republican Party Chair, where she has focused on building candidate recruitment pipelines and working with local leaders on issues that directly impact families in southwest Indiana.
Her early campaign priorities include keeping local schools strong, prioritizing small business stability, supporting conservative Hoosier values, and maintaining responsible fiscal policy at the state level.
The campaign has scheduled a Kickoff Fundraiser for Wednesday, November 19 at The Parklands in Jasper.
