Linda Casey, 77, of Mariah Hill, passed away on January 2 at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Linda was born May 5, 1948, in Boonville to John and Betty (Hobbs) Obermeier. She married Ronald Casey on April 25, 1964, in Boonville. Ronald preceded her in death in 2005.

Linda loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working in the yard, tending to flowers, and going for walks. Spending time with her family was very special to her.

Linda is survived by four daughters, Crystal (Michael) Ham of Huntingburg, Tonya (Heidy) Casey of Jasper, Robin (Jeffery) Choate of Indianapolis, and Tammy Hufnagel of Santa Claus; eight grandchildren, Brandon Casey, Shawn Horn, Travis and Meghan Choate, Cody Hufnagel, Ava Ham, and Autumn Carver; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Obermeier; and a sister, Dana Persohn.

Funeral services will be held at Noon ET Thursday, January 8, at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. ET until the time of services. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherfuneralhome.com.
