James L. Bilderback, age 84, of Huntingburg, passed away at 2:48 p.m., onFriday, April 29, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

bilderback obituary photo            He was born June 7, 1931, in Evansville, Indiana to Lowell Stanley and Jonnie Mae (Gough) Bilderback.  He married Lois Frances Meyer on August 16, 1952 in Yankee Town, Indiana.  Mr. Bilderback was a retired educator and school administrator.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War; enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was a member of the Jubin Valley Deer Camp and a founding member of the Canadian White Trout Fish Camp.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Frances Bilderback, who died in 2011.

He is survived by:

One daughter and one son-in-law,

Cathy (Ron) Kenworthy of Louisville, Kentucky;

Three sons and three daughters-in-law,

Michael (Silvia Campos-Bilderback) Bilderback of Fishers, Indiana,

Mark (Oranud) Bilderback of Savoy, Illinois,

Matt (Lorrie) Bilderback of Newburgh, Indiana;

One brother,

John Bilderback of Saint Louis, Missouri;

One sister,

Elizabeth “Betsy” LaPage of Redondo Beach, California;

and (5) grandchildren.

Memorial services for James L. Bilderback will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.D.T., onMay 14th, 2016, a Saturday, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with interment to follow at Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankee Town, Indiana.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., on May 14th, 2016, the day of the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Huntingburg Public Library.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com.
