Clara Mae Stenftenagel, age 76 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 5:38 p.m. on Tuesday (November 10,2015) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Stenftenagel, Clara MaeClara was born in Jasper, Indiana on July 17, 1939 to Fred and Georgina (Marks) Stenftenagel.

She was a 1957 graduate of Ireland High School and graduated with a B.S. from St. Benedicts College in Ferdinand.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and their St. Ann’s Society.

She worked first as a cosmetologist, then as a teacher for various schools, then for Kimball Stylemasters, and retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance company.

She was an avid I.U. Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals fan, and she had a great love for the arts and books.

Preceding her in death were three sisters; Alice Biles, Martha Bemben, and Alicia Stenftenagel, and one brother; Silas “Si” Stenftenagel.

Funeral services for Clara Mae Stenftenagel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (November 14, 2015) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Saturday (November 14, 2015) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.
