A Jasper man who was allegedly found nude inside a closed Jasper Hotel Saturday afternoon faces a pair of charges for not only being discovered naked in public, but also is accused of fighting with police while in the process of being taken to jail.
Around 2:30 Saturday afternoon Jasper Police were called to the Econo Lodge along Indiana Street, on a report of a male subject running naked in the building.
Police say upon their arrival they found 25-year old Weston Rust of Jasper naked in the hallway of the hotel.
Police say Rust was taken into custody and transported to Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication.
After being released from the hospital, officers transported Rust to the Dubois County Security Center.
While being booked in, police say Rust fought with officers who were able to quickly subdue him.
They say Rust threw a punch and struck an officer in the chest during the confrontation.
Police say along with public nudity and public indecency, Rust will also face a charge of battery on a law enforcement officer.
