Matilda Margaret Lasher, age 99, of Huntingburg, passed away at 4:55 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2015, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born April 1, 1916 in Jasper, Indiana, to Fidelis and Margaret (Bauer) Schuble. She married John C. Lasher on November 20, 1941. Mrs. Lasher was a homemaker; a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality; and enjoyed gardening and bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Lasher, who died December 31, 2000; one son, David A. Lasher; and two sisters, Fidelia Deisz and Frances Haase.

She is survived by:

One daughter,
Deborah Bradford of Henderson, Kentucky;
Two sons and one daughter-in-law,
John A. Lasher of Huntingburg, Indiana,
Stephen (Rebecca) Lasher of Huntingburg, Indiana;
by (12) grandchildren and (13) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Matilda M. Lasher will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday; and also from 9:00-9:45 a.m., Wednesday morning.
