Virginia C. Vollmer, age 90 of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 8:35 p.m. on Saturday, (December 26, 2015) at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

Virginia was born on March 9, 1925 in Jasper, Indiana to Lawrence and Clara (Werner) Blessinger. She Vollmer, Virginiamarried Maurice J. Vollmer on August 14, 1945 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1977.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, IN and the St. Ann’s Society.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ronald, Richard and Kenneth Vollmer all of Jasper, IN

21 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren

Preceding her in death besides her husband are two grandchildren; Dean Vollmer and Beth Ann Merkley and two great grandchildren; Ben Fischer and Hope Fischer.

Funeral services for Virginia Vollmer will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (December 30, 2015) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper, Indiana.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday (December 29, 2015) at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. The St. Joseph St. Ann’s Society will pray the rosary at 1:45 p.m.
